Due to the relatively perfect integrity of human and zebrafish genomes, TRIM family is first profiled in human (Reymond et al., 2001) and notably, fish TRIM genes are generally named after the human orthologs (Boudinot et al., 2011; Langevin et al., 2019; van der Aa et al., 2009b).
