  • The mean values ± SD (nmol/h/cm2) in the basal state, stimulated with isoproterenol (iso) and/or in the presence of the ATP synthase inhibitor oligomycin (oligo), are shown. Glycerol, FFAs, and lactate levels were measured in the supernatant medium. Oxygen consumption was measured in an XF96 extracellular flux analyzer. CO2, oxidized FFA, and hydrolyzed triglycerides (TAG) were calculated from respiration, based on an assumed respiratory quotient of 0.7.
