ON THE COVER
nNOS controls cilia distribution, ciliary beat, and directional flow in the mouse trachea (Mikhailik et al). Deletion of nNOS results in severe loss of polarity and cilia growth. Cilia are stained for acetylated tubulin (green) and basal bodies for gamma tubulin (red).
