ON THE COVER
Ring glands (top) and wing discs (bottom) from early (left column) and late (right column) third-instar Drosophila larvae stained with anti-pMad (green), which is indicative of Dpp signaling. As larvae mature, Dpp signaling is still observed in discs but declines in the prothoracic gland portion of the ring gland. The four images are shown at different magnifications.
